LEGAL
Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026
These Terms govern access to Lukama™, a catering operations platform operated from Texas, United States. By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms for yourself and, when applicable, your business.
1. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. If you create an account for a business, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business. You are responsible for people you authorize to use the workspace.
2. Permitted use
You may use Lukama for legitimate catering and restaurant operations. You may not interfere with security, access another restaurant’s information, send unlawful or deceptive communications, upload harmful or infringing material, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use Lukama in violation of applicable law.
3. Restaurant and customer information
The restaurant controls the business and customer information placed in its workspace and retains ownership of that information. The restaurant is responsible for having a lawful reason to collect, use and communicate with its customers. Lukama processes the information to provide, secure and support the service.
4. Payments and third-party services
Payments, email, calendars, hosting and other integrations may be provided by third parties such as Stripe, Resend, Google, Cloudflare and Supabase. Their terms may also apply. The restaurant is responsible for its prices, taxes, refunds, customer contracts, fulfillment and connected accounts. Lukama does not hold customer card numbers.
5. Pilot access
The private pilot is an evaluation service. Features may change and interruptions may occur. Pilot access does not automatically become a paid subscription, and Lukama will not begin charging without presenting terms and receiving explicit agreement.
6. Content and intellectual property
You keep rights to logos, menus, photographs and other content you upload. You give Lukama permission to store, display and process that content only as needed to provide the service. Lukama and its software, designs, documentation and trademarks remain owned by Lukama and its licensors.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Lukama reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may improve, replace or discontinue pilot features and will provide reasonable notice when practical. You should maintain appropriate business records and review important customer communications and payment activity.
8. Suspension and ending access
You may stop using Lukama at any time. We may suspend access for a security risk, unlawful use, material violation or expiration of the pilot. Workspace owners may export available data and request deletion. Certain financial, security or legal records may be retained when required.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the pilot service is provided “as is.” Lukama is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, missed business opportunities, or losses caused by restaurant configuration, third-party services, unauthorized access or information entered by a user. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Governing law and international use
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law in your location requires otherwise. You are responsible for determining whether Lukama is appropriate for use in your country. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights under applicable local law are not waived by these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Lukama changes. The effective date appears above. When a material update affects an active account, we will provide notice and, when legally required, request renewed acceptance.
